Bottomless Closet’s Corporate Partnership Opportunities
Bottomless Closet was founded in 1999 to promote self-sufficiency among economically disadvantaged women in New York City. Corporate partnerships play a vital role in all aspects of Bottomless Closet operations. Click here to see some of our current partnerships
Corporate Giving: Financial contributions from the corporate community are a vital element to our continued success. General Operating Support, Restricted Grants for specific programs and tables/tickets for our Spring Luncheon help us reach our mission. Corporate gifts are acknowledged in our offices, on our website, in communications packet materials distributed to the media, donors and other corporations as well as on Event invitation and program where appropriate. Corporate Volunteer Groups: Volunteers are critical to Bottomless Closet’s ability to connect women and work. In addition to individual volunteer opportunities we also welcome groups of employees to participate in corporate volunteer events. Specific needs for volunteers include:
- Mentoring & Coaching: Volunteers work one-on-one with clients, reviewing resumes, helping women prepare for interviews and providing professional guidance to women.
- Workshops and Programming: Volunteers who are experts in their professional field provide facilitate workshops on topics including Professional Development, Financial Management and Personal Enrichment.
- Inventory Management: Volunteers assist sorting through clothing donations, selecting what is appropriate, organizing the boutique and managing storage.
- Professional Expertise & Administrative Support: Volunteers assist with mailings and administrative tasks as well as provide professional consultation such as website design, graphic design, writing/editing for publications.

Career Days: Corporate partners host Bottomless Closet’s clients at their businesses to introduce women to a variety of employment opportunities. The typically half-day events may include: interview preparation presentations, Q&A sessions, job shadowing, personal testimonies and motivational speakers. Click here to schedule a career day.
To lead a workshop: Send a request to Patrycja Warda, Program Director, at pwarda@bottomlessclosetnyc.org. Please include a short biography or resume as well as your requested topic or area of expertise. Workshops are scheduled based on our curriculum and we are always interested in partnering with professionals who have expertise in the areas covered.
Clothing & Accessories Drives: Volunteers organize corporate sponsored clothing and accessories drives. We accept women’s new or gently worn business appropriate attire including: suits, separates, coats, shoes, handbags, scarves and jewelry. Please contact us to schedule a drive. Retail Store Events: We are pleased to be a part of in-store promotional events designed to increase consumer awareness, as well as Bottomless Closet’s mission. A percentage of store sales or other promotions can support Bottomless Closet’s work.
Gifts In-Kind: Bottomless Closet is thrilled to accept women’s business appropriate clothing and accessories directly from clothing retailers or manufacturers. All donations are tax deductible.
